What is Early Intervention
South Carolina Part C services allow an early intervention before kindergarten to help make sure children are on track for school services. We work under BabyNet (IDEA Part C) services and the Department of Disabilities and Special Needs (DDSN) to provide Family Training and Service coordination for your child.

Under BabyNet (Birth to age 3)
-
A qualifying child is entitled to 1 hr weekly of family training
-
A qualifying child is entitled to services and therapy provided in the natural environment (home, park, library, etc)
-
Services are paid for by the program and are at no cost to you
-
Therapy as needed for your child may be covered under the program

Under DDSN (Age 3-6)
-
A qualifying child is entitled to 1 hr weekly of family training
-
A qualifying child is entitled to services provided in the natural environment (home, park, library, etc)
-
Services are paid for by the program and are at no cost to you
-
Therapy that your child needs is NOT paid for under DDSN

Before you can get started with Early Intervention, there is a screening with either BabyNet or DDSN that must be completed. If you are ready to see if your child may qualify click on the Eligibility button.
